This is really cool! I especially like the powers of ten mode as it shows the objects in real context zooming in. Also I like the inclusion of the Outer Wilds and Kerbol System!

I'm playing this on Mac (MacOS 15.6 on MacBook Air 2020 w/ Intel i3 processor), and there are several bugs/issues, ordered from most to least major:

  • When I click on an object, I cannot click out of it or click on another object. This also means when I zoom in I zoom in centered on that object, so I can't zoom in to see the things smaller than it. (At least this is the case for the Cat :3 I haven't tested with any other since when I close and reopen the game I'm still selecting the Cat.)
    • Also, when I switch to Powers of Ten mode the camera zooms in on the wrong spot, probably because I'm still selecting the Cat.
  • The text size is really small and hard to read. This was also a problem for me with the Element Cattos game. I think this is because my screen is relatively small (13 inch) and my resolution is set relatively high at 1680x1050. Maybe some kind of text size slider could be nice. But it's not a big deal, I can change my screen resolution :3
  • Also related to the previous issue, the "This window" object is not to scale, probably because the physical size per pixel on my screen is much smaller than a large PC monitor.
  • One of the controls is Middle-click which I don't think is easily possible on a Mac laptop, so maybe another option for that could be nice.
  • Also I noticed J1407b's disk which was cool, but I think recently astronomers figured out that is probably doesn't exist :'(

Sorry if I am being too nitpicky, this game seems really cool and the only bug that is a big problem is the first one I listed.

Noted, thanks for the feedback! Wasn't expecting it to work on Mac at all lol, I guess it just depends on the OS version. I'll probably have to fiddle with Godot's export options some more.

As for the J1407b situation, as far as I know they didn't really say it doesn't exist, just that it doesn't have the type of disk we thought it did or something like that.

has this been updated

Yes

I recommend adding HD 100546b, Orbit of Gliese 900 b,  J1407 b,  W Ursae Majoris, VFTS 352(both are contact binaries), Some asteroids like Dike, Lucina, Hygiea etc

I ❤️ it

This is incredibly delightful, thank you for making it ^^
